The design process varies based on your ideas and needs. We offer everything from just a consultation to mood boards or 3-D design

the first meeting

We will talk about what your visions are for the space, how you and your family live in your home, what are your likes AND dislikes and talk about budget and scope of the project. We may even take a look at your PInterest or Houzz page, maybe magazine images you love. I’ll take a few pictures and you can decide if you would like to move on to step 2 or just have me do measurements while I am there and skip ahead to the 3D Design.

the mood board

Next, I will draft a mood board, this is not meant to be final decisions but just the general feel of where I am going before going too far down the wrong rabbit hole. You will be able to interact with this board, let me know what you like and what needs to be changed as well as get some ideas of pricing.

3-D design

Once we have the mood board narrowed down a bit your vision really comes to life. We will meet at my office to look at samples and to go through the design together. At this stage, we can easily change out colors, tiles, wallpapers, etc, and play with ideas until we have it narrowed down to exactly what you want. Once that is done, samples will be ordered, paint shades and metal finishes selected. This is also the time when we start to gather bids from contractors and get the process rolling. We will meet at the design center, when necessary to make selections on sinks, faucets, appliances, and any other items that are needed. Before work begins a “Project Manager” binder will be put together. This binder will have pictures, like those shown below, a floor plan, specific shades, and type of paint and where they go. Information from manufacturers on how items need to be installed and cared for throughout the installation process. Before the contractors begin I will review this information so that we can get questions answered upfront and gather any further information that may be needed. This is all in an attempt to eliminate issues that slow down the process. I know that building/remodeling is difficult and stressful but I am here to support you through the project and relieve as much of that stress as possible.

the end…

When we are all done I can help with staging and bring in a professional photographer. Sorry, these are just from my iPone. While your home is where you are living out your day-to-day life it is also one of your largest investments, being a Realtor, I will help you balance what you want with what makes smart financial and investment decisions. I want to create a home that will grow with you and that you will love for years to come.
